Nature Sessions for Children & Caregivers

A shared nature experience for young children and their parent or caregiver.

These gentle, unhurried sessions invite children and adults to explore, notice, and connect with nature together. There is no distance to cover and nothing to achieveโ€”just time to be curious, present, and alongside one another.

๐Ÿƒ What a Session May Include

Each experience is adapted to the age group, setting, season, and families present, and may include:

  • sensory noticing through sounds, textures, colours, and movement

  • gentle exploration and imaginative play

  • natural materials such as leaves, stones, sticks, or seasonal finds

  • simple nature invitations and shared moments of curiosity

  • opportunities for calm, connection, and noticing together

Children and adults are welcome to engage in their own way and at their own pace.

The experience changes naturally with the children present.

Infants & Toddlers (0โ€“2)
Sensory exploration held within the rhythm, comfort, and presence of the caregiver.

Early Years (2โ€“4)
Shared noticing, movement, sensory play, and simple nature-based exploration.

Kindergarten Age (4โ€“6)
Imagination, storytelling, curiosity, conversation, and nature-based discovery.

Parent and caregiver participation remains at the heart of the experience.

Formats are typically 45โ€“60 minutes, with extended or series-based experiences available depending on the setting.
